Esports can cause various injuries and pain like other physical sports, such as gamer’s thumb, lower back pain, and repetitive strain injuries (RSI). Most injuries and pain are on the upper part of the body, such as hands, wrists, arms, back, and neck. Esports athletes can quickly lose track of time gaming in an awkward sitting posture or performing repetitive and constant motions with their wrists, fingers and forearms, causing them to experience injuries after overusing specific muscles and joints.
