Muscle Imbalance
Muscle Imbalance
Skeletal muscles comprise more than 600 individual muscles in the human body and are responsible for strength, stability, and agility. These muscles work together but can become imbalanced due to repetitive movements in one direction or sustained postures. In addition, weakness in one muscle group can inhibit the surrounding muscles from performing their functions effectively. Such imbalances are often caused by our modern lifestyle, personal fitness regimes, choice of athletic pursuits, improper posture, and prolonged sitting that weakens neural pathways.
